Title: Virtual Lab

Book Description: This workbook is meant to be used in place of a physical setup with weights and springs. There is a short introduction to the differential equation governing the vibration of a spring, including linear, hard, and soft springs. The reader can vary any of the parameters and forces, and obtain both animated and graphical output of the resulting motion. There is a choice of graphs for position and/or velocity vs. time, a graph of any outside driving force, or the phase plane. Multiple graphs allow comparison of the effects of different input.

Author: Margie Hale
