This
WorkBook covers a wide range of topics related to curves in the plane. It
illustrates its themes with many sprite animations. And in each case, you
may experiment with your own examples.
The
book begins with a graphical introduction to parametric curves. The user then
can work through a series of dynamic explorations that consider topics such
as: speed, curvature, cycloids, evolutes, involutes, Bezier curves and more.
It is suitable for students of multivariable calculus, or anyone else who
wants to play with plane curves. Each of the 13 web pages gives some annotation
for the interaction contained therein.
