Hello and how are you? This microworld will hopefully open your eyes to the wonderful world of group theory. This microworld is by no means a complete course, it's just something that might whet your appetite for group theory. I attempted to be as thorough as possible, while being as succinct as possible. I made sure to give a description of the activities on each page at the bottom of the Page Info, which is mainly to introduce the concepts of each page.

The following transformation of the square generates a group with 4 elements. Move the mouse over it to see the transformation. Can you guess what it is? We will learn how to name and classify such groups in this microworld.
