Book Description: The primary purpose of this laboratory is to learn to derive and check model formulas from the observed pattern of data. Hypotheses about the nature of the data can often be checked using semi-log or log-log plots. Sometimes the model function can be refined using the "linear best fit" to model data that is transformed to logarithmic form. In this laboratory, we will study a problem closely related to models of population growth.
