MAA Project WELCOME site at the new Mathematics Digital Library

Sponsored by the Mathematical Association of America and funded by the National Science Foundation, Project WELCOME has as its charter to build a library of interactive mathematical Microworlds on the web. These Microworlds are designed to support certain entry-level courses and are freely available to all students and faculty through the web.

In the course of two years (2000-2002) we taught faculty at 8 selected HBCUs the new Microworld technology and deployed their work at the Project WELCOME website.
